Bulgarian authorities have declared two Russian diplomats persona non grata and asked them to leave the country within 27 hours, said the Russian Embassy in Sofia.

-The Foreign Ministry of Bulgaria today summoned the adviser-envoy. He was handed a note declaring the embassy staff persona non grata. They must leave Bulgaria within 72 hours," the embassy was quoted as saying by the Russian state-run TASS news agency.
On Saturday, Bulgarian Prime Minister Boiko Borisov announced a plan to expel Russian diplomats over a spying scandal.
On Friday, Bulgaria's Attorney General said six current and former employees of the country's Defense Ministry and military intelligence were detained on suspicion of spying for Russia.
A district military court placed five of them in custody at the request of the prosecution on Monday. One suspect was released on bail as the prosecutor's office did not insist on his arrest.

Director of the B&amp;H Border Police Zoran Galić held a meeting today with Security Minister Selmo Cikotić and associates and discussed the preparations for a new wave of migrants which is expected soon.

On that occasion, they discussed the situation at the state border and the measures that need to be taken in connection with illegal migration, with an emphasis on the eastern border where the greatest migration pressure is and the Una-Sana Canton, where most migrants are.
Speaking about the activities carried out by the Border Police in the fight against illegal migration, Galić said that all the capacities of the Border Police are maximally focused on the protection of the state border.

- I sent a letter to the Office for the Fight against Corruption, more precisely to Erduan Kafedžić. The man who answered me is called Damir. They replied that an independent body had been formed to investigate all allegations of non-investigation, ie the response from the SC Prosecutor's Office that there were no grounds for criminal prosecution. I am encouraged by the fact that Eric Larson is now an anti-corruption advisor in the Office - says Džaferović.

- I do not remember who the Prime Minister of the Sarajevo Canton and the Commissioner were at that time, but I also contacted them (the Prime Minister was Suad Zeljković from the SDA, and the Commissioner was Vahid Ćosić, also an SDA staff member, op. cit.). There was no answer. I am not asking for anything but court proceedings. If that cannot be assured to me, then this is not a state governed by the rule of law. I just want the rule of law. What did I fight for, to experience that no criminal proceedings were initiated because someone is someone's father? I want the investigation to be revised and criminal responsibility to be reached - Džaferović points out.
According to available information, Alena Kurspahić-Nadarević was actively assisted by the director of the Intelligence and Security Agency, Osman Mehmedagić Osmica, in the case of covering up and avoiding prosecuting her father. This also reveals the reason for the complete loyalty and servility of Chief Disciplinary Prosecutor Kurspahić-Nadarević to ISA Chief Mehmedagić and his political mentors in the action of overthrowing Chief Prosecutor Gordana Tadić and preventing the discovery of Dženan Memić's killers.

Kurspahić-Nadarević is part of the political-intelligence-judicial-prosecutor octopus. The key role in everything is played by Mehmedagić, who is also under numerous investigations by the Prosecutor's Office of B&amp;H, but also by unconfirmed and confirmed indictments before the Court of B&amp;H.
In avoiding justice, covering up cases and removing traces of his illegal actions, but also the illegal actions of his people in the judicial community, Mehmedagić also makes extensive use of his friendship with the President of the Court of B&amp;H, Ranko Debevec.
In return, Kurspahić-Nadarević, as the main disciplinary prosecutor, repaying the debts to the head of ISA,has been keeping in the drawer for more than a year, a thickly documented report against Debevec for hiding his identity, not declaring assets worth millions abroad in his property card, and legally inadmissible possession of dual citizenship of Spain and B&amp;H.

- According to the findings of the traffic expert, we determined that it is indisputable that the driver drove 20 kilometers per hour over the limit, but that speed is not the cause that the car flew over and ended up on the sidewalk in an incredible way - said Burzić.
In addition, the prosecutor adds, the traffic expert determined that the cause of the car's bounce was an uncontrolled step of the driver on one of the pedals and "this is weak evidence, which does not go to trial."
- We have determined that there is not enough evidence, based on the expert's findings, and that the speed higher by 20 kilometers per hour is not a reason why the driver would be charged. You have everyday injustices, which someone experiences more or less easily, and the profession is here to say the last word - concluded the then Chief Prosecutor of the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office Dalida Burzić.

<h2>Pressure to release Mutap and Dupovac</h2>

The pressure on Chief Prosecutor Gordana Tadić was motivated by the desire to release Zijad Mutap, the father of Alisa Mutap, who was with Dženan at the time of his murder, and police officer Hasan Dupovac. Far-right and neo-Nazi groups are increasingly using major social media platforms to recruit young people, a new report revealed on Monday.

-The British far-right is now digitally-led and reflective of online culture – traditional structures have given way to social media platforms, influencers and ‘citizen journalists’ creating peer-to-peer radicalisation and a global community willing to crowdsource ‘micro-donations of time and effort- anti-racism group Hope Not Hate (HNH) said in its annual State of Hate report.
Nick Knowles, the chief executive of HNH, said in the report regarding the use of social media platforms that “a fertile recruitment ground for young neo-Nazis has been Instagram – its inadequate moderation and worrying algorithm recommendations are child protection issues that demand urgent action from the platform.”
The British Hand and the National Partisan Movement, two relatively new far-right groups, are known to be actively using Instagram and the messaging app Telegram to recruit members into its ranks.
Three teenage boys, who are allegedly members of The British Hand, are currently facing trial on terrorism charges.
COVID-19 and the ensuing lockdowns have played an important role in shifting right-wing extremism from the UK street to online platforms. HNH found that younger groups have found it easier to transition from operating in the street to exploring technology for their own collective gain while older and traditional groups have been left behind.
-The lockdown has had a profound effect on every part of our society and it’s no less the case on the far-right. Traditional organisations were already on the decline but lockdown exacerbated their inactivity- Knowles said, adding that -the new organisations and collectives that are emerging understand how to operate in this decentralised, self-directed environment.-The study also found that the traditional far-right in the UK is currently at its weakest as a right-wing ideology has shifted into the political mainstream following the election of Boris Johnson as prime minister and Brexit. Mainstream politicians and commentators are now using language and rhetoric that was only used by the far-right in an attempt to embrace such narratives and win support.
Importantly, however, people sympathetic to the far-right cause are more likely to be influenced by certain individuals and figures rather than the actual ideology.
-The far-right has moved from being built around organisations to being built around people, and this has been amplified by our digital age. Tommy Robinson and Nigel Farage are examples of a new generation of far-right personalities.-​​​​​​​
HNH described the government’s counter-extremism strategy as outdated and said it is in urgent need of an overhaul. The group has also urged social media giants Facebook and YouTube to take more effective action in banning far-right extremist groups from using their services and that the government proscribe these movements as terrorist organizations.

The Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, together with the British Embassy in B&amp;H and partner institutions, started a five-day military course "Women, Peace and Human Security" today, conducted by lecturers of the 77th Brigade of the British Army.

Speakers emphasized that UNSCR Resolution 1325 "Women, Peace and Security" promotes gender equality, improving the status and greater representation of women in defense and security institutions and organizations, as well as promoting gender equality in international peacekeeping operations.
It was pointed out that B&amp;H is the first country in the region to adopt the Action Plan for the implementation of UNSCR Resolution 1325 and one of the 19 countries in the world that have adopted it.
It was also stated that the MoD and the AFB&amp;H take into account gender equality within all units, as evidenced by the fact that in all units up to the battalion level there are contact persons for gender issues.

AstraZeneca's Covid-19 vaccine is 80 percent effective at preventing the disease in the elderly and does not increase the risk of blood clots, the biotech firm said Monday, following its US phase III efficiency trials.

It was 79 percent effective at preventing symptomatic Covid-19 in the overall population and 100 percent effective at preventing severe disease and hospitalization, it said.
Several countries had advised against administering the jab to older people due to a lack of data among elderly participants in previous trials. Earlier this month several countries also paused use of the AstraZeneca shot over fears it may cause blood clots.
The US phase III trial of the vaccine developed by AstraZeneca and Oxford University involved 32,449 participants, with two thirds receiving the jab, the pharmaceutical firm said in a statement.
Around 20 percent were 65 or older, and about 60 percent had health conditions associated with a higher risk of severe Covid-19, such as diabetes, severe obesity or cardiac disease.
-These findings reconfirm previous results observed in AZD1222 trials across all adult populations but it's exciting to see similar efficacy results in people over 65 for the first time- said Ann Falsey, professor of medicine at University of Rochester School of Medicine and co-lead principal investigator for the trial.
-This analysis validates the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine as a much-needed additional vaccination option, offering confidence that adults of all ages can benefit from protection against the virus.-The trial's independent data safety monitoring board found no increased risk of thrombosis among the 21,583 participants who received at least one dose, the statement said.

The Prosecutor's Office of B&amp;H has formed cases against prosecutors of the Office of the Disciplinary Prosecutor, including the Chief Disciplinary Prosecutor Alena Kurspahić-Nadarević.
This information was confirmed for "Daily Avaz" by the Prosecutor's Office of B&amp;H. The cases were formed on the basis of several charges against disciplinary prosecutors. The case was also formed against the Deputy Chief Disciplinary Prosecutor Mirza Hadžiomerović.
- We can say that there are several open cases in the Prosecutor's Office of B&amp;H, formed on the basis of reports from different applicants, against the main disciplinary prosecutor Alena Kursaphić-Nadarević, as well as deputies and individual disciplinary prosecutors in the Office of the Disciplinary Prosecutor in the HJPC B&amp;H - Boris Grubešić, spokesman for the Prosecution told for „Avaz“

The case was also formed against the Deputy Chief Disciplinary Prosecutor Mirza Hadžiomerović

Every country has the sovereign right to choose its own security arrangements, it was said for "Avaz" from the NATO headquarters in Brussels, in response to the warning of the Russian Embassy in B&amp;H that Russia will have to react in case of practical rapprochement between B&amp;H and NATO.

-Whether countries decide to cooperate with NATO – either through partnerships or as full members of the Alliance - is up to each individual applicant and the 30 Allies. No third party has the right to intervene or veto such a process. Any threats in this respect are unacceptable - NATO spokeswoman Oana Lungescu told us.
She added that the time of spheres of influence is over.

-NATO and Bosnia and Herzegovina have a long-standing and mutually beneficial cooperation. Cooperation with NATO does not prejudge any potential future NATO membership for Bosnia and Herzegovina. We fully respect the country’s sovereignty and independence and we welcome Bosnia and Herzegovina’s continued contributions to our Euro-Atlantic security – concluded Lungescu.

Bulgaria on Friday detained six of its citizens in the capital Sofia accused of spying in favor of Russia.

Chief Public Prosecutor Ivan Gesev said six Bulgarian citizens, members of different government bodies, were detained for allegedly spying for Russia.
-We must be proud of our intelligence. We have not achieved such success since the communists came to power in 1944. Our intelligence is a source of honor- said Gesev.
Gesev noted that the detainees are soldiers and bureaucrats from the Defense Ministry, military intelligence, and other government bodies.
-We are not enemies of Bulgaria, we are patriots. We do not sell our country for coins. We love our homeland without hating any state- Gesev added.
The spokeswoman of the Office of the Chief Public Prosecutor, Siyika Mileva, said the head of the organization arrested by the operation was a former senior military intelligence officer and was trained in Moscow.
She added that the head of the organization is in contact with personnel who have access to confidential information in the Defense Ministry.
It was also noted that these six people have received money from Russian diplomats in an envelope.
Bulgaria had expelled six Russian diplomats by declaring them "persona non grata" on espionage charges.
Last December, Russia's Military Attache in Sofia Vasiliyi Sazanovic was deported.

Norway's police has launched an investigation into an alleged breach of COVID-19 restrictions by Prime Minister Erna Solberg, public media reported Friday.

According to Norwegian Broadcasting, Solberg held a birthday celebration with 13 people in a restaurant at the Geilo Ski Center and then continued the celebrations with 14 people in an indoor space.
People in Norway are allowed to gather indoors with a maximum of 10 people.
The prime minister's action has drawn harsh criticism from the public for flouting those rules.
Speaking to NRK, Solberg said: -I warned people every day to abide by the restrictions. I should have followed those myself.-The Nordic country has reported 84,553 virus cases and 648 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic.

The World Health Organization (WHO) exhorted the world to keep administering AstraZeneca’s COVID-19 shots on Friday, adding its endorsement to that of European and British regulators after concerns over blood clotting.

-We urge countries to continue using this important COVID-19 vaccine- WHO Director General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus told a news conference in Geneva.
He was speaking after the global health body’s vaccine safety panel said available data about the AstraZeneca shot did not point to any overall increase in clotting conditions.
European and British regulators also said this week that the benefits of AstraZeneca’s shot outweighed the risks, prompting various nations to lift their suspensions.
-The AstraZeneca vaccine is especially important because it accounts for more than 90% of the vaccines being distributed through COVAX- Tedros added, referring to a WHO-led global vaccine-sharing scheme.
-There is no question. COVID-19 is a deadly disease, and the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine can prevent it. It’s also important to remember that COVID-19 itself can cause blood clots and low platelets.-The WHO’s global advisory committee on vaccine safety said in a statement that the AstraZeneca vaccine had a “positive benefit-risk profile” and “tremendous potential” to prevent infections and reduce deaths.
The WHO panel of 12 independent experts, who met virtually on Tuesday and on Thursday, reviewed safety data from Europe, the United Kingdom, India, and WHO’s global database.
-While very rare and unique thromboembolic events in combination with thrombocytopenia, such as cerebral venous sinus thrombosis (CVST), have also been reported following vaccination with the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine in Europe, it is not certain that they have been caused by vaccination- it said.
