The very fact that the Istraga.ba portal, which is known as an ISA medium, "deserved" to deal with Vojin Mijatović's initiative for joint action of the pro-Bosnian bloc of parties in RS, and that the same text was transmitted by the Slobodna Bosna and Oslobođenje portals, is to be assumed under the ISA directive, speaks about the importance and seriousness of this SDP idea. The text is titled "Mijatović's initiative to save Dodik and Čović". How frightened the regime guards of these initiatives are, is shown by the author (s) from ISA's analytics department in the title itself, suggesting to readers a repulsive attitude that simply relies on the stabbing demagoguery that SDA ideologues have been feeding their reported masses for decades. Because of that spin, no one serious will deal with the content of the text because they understand the extent to which it is propagandistically intended for the deluded masses, writes The Bosnia Times.

<h2>Neither the late Josip Broz can improve Komsić's image</h2>

And how much yesterday Bakir Izetbegović, for example, resented the opposition, and especially the leader of the SDP Nermin Nikšić, for only dealing with and fighting against the SDA, while in general as the opposition they do not operate on the territory of RS and Herzegovina, that is against Milorad Dodik and Dragan Čović, tells us a lot. Now that the SDP has expressed its readiness for a joint appearance on the territory of RS, they are considered as "saviours of Dodik and Čović." From who Mijatović saves them? From SDA and Izetbegović, maybe ?! Or maybe from DF and Željko Komšić ?! "Come on, please!"
In fact, regime analysts are not dealing with the idea of a joint appearance of the pro-Bosnian bloc in RS, but with the possible candidacy of Nikšić for a member of the Presidency of B&amp;H, which Mijatović by the way, hinted at as his wish. From that, regime analysts draw the conclusion that Nikšić would defeat Komšić in favor of Čović, just as Mijatović's candidacy would ease Dodik's path in the race for the B&amp;H presidency. This is a false pastoral care for Komšić, who calibrated so much politically that even the late Josip Broz could not improve his image if he rose from the grave. What literally buried Komšić as a charismatic opposition leader, raised Nikšić so much that he became the most dangerous man for the SDA, and even for Izetbegović himself.
So, Komšić did not survive the embrace with Izetbegović, while Niksić's "no" to Izetbegović led him to the front at the table of all pro-Bosnian parties. So, as such, he is a real danger only to Izetbegović and not to the "half-dead" Komšić. And by no means do regime analysts fear Komšić, but only Izetbegović as the enthroned national leader of the Bosniaks. Since Izetbegović's throne of the national leader is so shaky, he is also afraid of a much weaker candidate than Nikšić, such as, for example, Elmedin Konaković. Therefore, the stupid blinded regime analysts in the mentioned pamphlet do not notice that a greater danger lurks for Izetbegović by the tandem of Komšić and Denis Zvizdić, than from Nikšić and Konaković. Because this first tandem will do everything to prevent Izetbegović from running for a member of the Presidency of B&amp;H. But we have to wait, until that topic is updated.

<h2>The difference in relation to Oručević in Mostar</h2>

Therefore, we need to go back to Mijatović's initiative on the pro-Bosnian bloc, how realistic it is and how much hope and optimism we should have in it.
First, this is a very desirable idea and comes after the opposition parties from Sarajevo and Banja Luka already had contacts with the same goal of a joint appearance in RS. For now, this acts as a new offensive against the Dodik's regime, which should be supported by important actors of the International Community in Sarajevo.
If we compare Mijatović's initiative to unite the pro-Bosnian bloc in RS with Safet Oručević's initiative which aimed to have the same effects in Mostar, it is formally the same, but essentially completely different concept. Oručević led the regime team headed by Izetbegović, while Mijatović leads the opposition headed by Nikšić. So far, no one has cared who formed a coalition with Izetbegović's SDA. Nikšić was the first to understand that, and that is the secret of his survival as the leader of the SDP, and then of his success as the most serious competitor to Izetbegović himself.
After the failure of the pro-Bosnian bloc in the Mostar elections, Izetbegović tried to literally bring Nikšić into his machine with a new trap, abusing the authority of the village leader Reis Husein Kavazović, who invited Bosniak party leaders to a meeting. As is well known, Nikšić responded, but did not get caught; he refused to sign a joint statement on joint action by Bosniak parties in RS. The mere fact that Reis Kavazović did not invite Predrag Kojović as the leader of Our Party at all, as he had never wanted to receive him before, even though he had asked him to, was a sufficient reason for Nikšić, although he never said so publicly, not to agree to such coalitions. So, the essential difference between Mijatović's initiative for a unified appearance of pro-Bosnian parties in RS and the initiative of Reis Kavazović is that the first called Izetbegović, and the second one did not call Kojović.

<h2>Lagumdžija was his greatest "teacher"</h2>

No matter how this Mijatović story develops, it has raised Nikšić's rating so much that he can seriously consider his candidacy for a member of the Presidency of B&amp;H tomorrow. And,only a few believed that he would survive the blows that the regime prepared for him as revenge for refusing to accept Izetbegović's outstretched hand, which was even numb to this, and remain as the head of the SDP. And if only someone believed that he would turn the political processes in his favor so much that today, as the leader of the opposition, he plays with white figures, and Izetbegović with black figures.
If, in order to understand his undeniably great political rise, his political profile should be analyzed, we could not notice or point out anything special. But that is why it is very important to emphasize his human character, which really makes him different in relation to all Sarajevo political leaders. Nikšić is too ordinary in relation to all of them. Perhaps Zlatko Lagumdžija was his greatest "teacher" because he realized that he should not be like him; overbearing, too smart, arrogant, and rude, writes The Bosnia Times.

The vice-president of the Alliance for a Better Future of B&amp;H, Admir Čavka, said that the information that only 28 students enrolled in the first grade of primary school in Srebrenica passed completely unnoticed.
- This news is a real defeat for all of us who are fighting to survive in the area of smaller B&amp;H entity, ie all of us who live at home and whose children go to school in the area of smaller B&amp;H entity - said Čavka.
He added that this year will be a record low number of children enrolled in the first grades of primary school in RS. Čavka points out that dozens of schools in smaller Bosnia and Herzegovina entity will be closed this year.

- The number of students enrolled in the first grade of primary school will probably be below nine thousand. This is a statistical error. This is the best indicator of the current situation in the entire area of smaller Bosnia and Herzegovina entity. Because of this, we are presented with various non-peppers every day, which serve exclusively to divert attention from essential topics - said Čavka.
Čavka adds that the returnee population is living harder and harder. According to Čavka, systemic discrimination, wrong policy from Sarajevo, lack of support for sustainable return are main reasons for this. All this led to the fact that a huge number of returnees left their homes again after their return and found happiness far from B&amp;H.
- The average age of Bosniaks in RS is over 60 years. We must ask ourselves what kind of future awaits us in the coming years. All this is well known to all of us who live at home, in the area of smaller Bosnia and Herzegovina entity. Every trip to a third country of our fellow citizens is well felt, as well as their deaths - said Čavka.

Čavka is convinced that there are forces among returnees that can change the current catastrophic situation, but the approach to solving this problem must change. SBB, led by party president Fahrudin Radončić, each time supported a gathering of pro-Bosnian forces in the smaller B&amp;H entity without any conditions, only for the purpose of survival in the RS.
- However, the fact is that the coalitions served only for pre-election purposes, in order to grab positions after the elections. Due to such political exhibitions, we have 28 children enrolled in the first grade of primary school. We need unity built on patriotic principles that will implement everything that is agreed in advance. Therefore, it is very positive that they are working on gathering a patriotic bloc of people living in the area of smaller Bosnia and Herzegovina entity - said Čavka.
One such meeting, he added, will be held in Doboj on Monday. Čavka points out that it is more than positive that the SDP is working on the gathering.
- Returnees whose children go to school and are discriminated against on a daily basis must turn to themselves. We have too many enemies to be our own enemies. Therefore, it is more than necessary for us to unite and solve the accumulated problems together. We must not be on a bus rushing towards a certain accident. And while the bus is going to a certain doom, we are arguing over who will sit where - pointed out Čavka.

One child died and four adults were injured early on Sunday after two houses collapsed in a suspected gas explosion in northwest England, police said.

Police in the county of Lancashire said they were called to the row of terraced houses at 2:40am (0140 GMT) where they evacuated other residents and set up a safety cordon.
-We remain at scene of a suspected gas explosion on Mallowdale Ave Heysham which has caused 2 houses to collapse &amp; badly damaged another- the Lancashire force said on Twitter.
-Sadly, we can now confirm a young child has died &amp; 4 other people have been injured, 2 seriously. Our thoughts are with all those affected.-The Lancashire fire department said on Twitter that a major incident had been declared over a suspected gas explosion and firefighters were in the process of searching the collapsed properties.
Local resident Dan Knowles said the sound of the explosion could be heard from his house four streets away.
-My wife and I thought there was an earthquake which woke us, the whole house shook- he said.
-We immediately checked on our kids and got back in bed. We then heard sirens- he added, adding that his family had shut their gas off when they learnt the likely cause of the explosion.
The area's member of parliament David Morris said his "thoughts and prayers" were with local residents. "Thank you to all of the emergency services who are currently on the scene," he added.

Signaling a possible dip in the ongoing third wave of coronavirus, Pakistan on Saturday recorded 1,531 infections, the lowest daily tally since March, the Health Ministry said.

On March 8 the South Asian country saw 1,353 infections.
Another 83 people lost their lives due to the novel virus over the past 24 hours, bringing the total death toll since March 2020 to 19,467.
The overall national infection tally stands at 874,751, with 783,480 recoveries. The total number of active cases in the country is 71,804.
The recent decline in the number of cases is viewed as the result of a strict government lockdown during the Eid al-Fitr, a Muslim holiday celebrating the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
Health experts, however, fear a rise in number of cases once the restrictions are eased starting Sunday.
Later Saturday, the National Command and Operation Center, a state-run agency that oversees the country's anti-virus strategy, announced relaxations in current restrictions, including lifting a ban on inter-provincial and inter-city transport.
However, according to a statement, that transport will operate at 50% passenger occupancy, except for railways, which will operate at 70%.
All markets and shops as of Monday can also remain open till 8.00 p.m (1500GMT).
Normal working hours for offices will also resume Monday, with the condition that 50% of staff work from home.

- This is the largest military exercise so far between the US Army and the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The United States continues to support peace and stability in B&amp;H. France is on track to reach its goal Saturday of 20 million initial doses of coronavirus vaccines, officials said days ahead of a hugely anticipated reopening of restaurant terraces as the government begins lifting a nationwide lockdown.

-Again nearly 600,000 vaccinations today- Health Minister Olivier Veran tweeted late Friday. -Tomorrow, 20 million French will have had at least one dose- which would represent nearly 30 percent of the population.
-I'm reasonably optimistic- Prime Minister Jean Castex told journalists while visiting the mass vaccination site at the Porte de Versailles conference centre in Paris.
-It's a very important moment for the entire country, because it supports our prospects for ending this crisis- he said.
The government aims to have 30 million initial doses injected by June 15, when President Emmanuel Macron has said all adults will be able to sign up for a jab currently reserved for priority groups and adults over 50.

Authorities also reported further declines in the number of patients requiring intensive care in hospitals.
The number of people in intensive care stood at 4,352 on Friday, a decline of 90 from the previous day and well below the peak of 6,001 during the "third wave" of infections that battered France starting in March.
On Wednesday, museums, theatres, cinemas and concert halls will reopen with limited capacity after six weeks of closure to halt the pandemic, and the nationwide curfew will be pushed back to 9:00 pm (1900 GMT) from 7 pm.
Non-essential shops will also reopen and outdoor seating at cafes and restaurants will be allowed for the first time since October 30.
Cafes and restaurants will be able to serve clients indoors on June 9, and the curfew will be fully lifted on June 30 if infection rates continue to decline.

Taiwan ordered stricter social distancing measures for its capital and surrounding areas on Saturday after a sudden spike in coronavirus cases in a place that has so far weathered the pandemic comparatively unscathed.

Authorities raised the alert level for Taipei and New Taipei City after 180 new domestic coronavirus infections were confirmed, up from 29 cases the previous day.
The new restrictions mean no more than five people can gather indoors and 10 outdoors -- but authorities stopped short of ordering a total lockdown.
Schools, government offices, workplaces and most businesses can stay open as long as social distancing measures can be maintained and masks are worn at all times.
-We will closely monitor in the next few days the development of the epidemic and adjust (closures) accordingly- health minister Chen Shih-chung said.
Taiwan has been hailed as a global leader in containing the Covid-19 pandemic, with just 1,500 cases, 12 deaths and minimal social distancing needed once its initial outbreak was quelled.
As a result, the island was one of the few industrialised economies to grow last year. 
The latest measures come a day after authorities ordered an indefinite closure of entertainment venues in the wake of the widening outbreak.
The order covers bars, dance clubs, karaoke lounges, nightclubs, saunas and internet cafes as well as hostess clubs and teahouses.
Municipal facilities including libraries and sports centres will also be closed. 
A similar cluster centred on a hospital led to the suspension of large-scale Lantern Festival events during the Lunar New Year in February. 
That outbreak was quickly brought under control.

Turkey and Serbia recognized each other’s COVID-19 vaccine certificates for safe travel, Serbia's Foreign Ministry said on Wednesday.

Turkish and Serbian citizens can travel between the two countries as of May 14 with a vaccine certificate issued by the relevant state authorities.
-Citizens of the two countries will be allowed to enter the territory of the other country without a test and the application of a quarantine measure- said the statement.
A similar travel regime is in force between Turkey and Hungary since Tuesday.

The Russian and US heads of diplomatic services during a phone talk on Wednesday agreed to meet on the sidelines of the Arctic Council summit to be held in Iceland's capital Reykjavik on May 20.

Sergey Lavrov and Antony Blinken plan to discuss the North Korean nuclear problem, the resumption of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action on the Iranian Nuclear Program, and the issues of strategic stability, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
They also discussed the schedule of the upcoming bilateral contacts, the ministry said.
US State Department also confirmed the phone call and planned meeting next week.

Italy's anti-trust authority said Thursday it had fined Google more than 100 million euros ($120 million) for shutting out a rival's smartphone app offering recharging of electric vehicles.

Google's Android operating system and Google Play app store dominate the Italian market, and the authority said the firm abused its market position by blocking an Enel X app for users of electric vehicles.
The regulator added that it would require Google to make Enel X's app available on Android Auto, which mirrors features of an Android device, such as a smartphone, on a car dashboard screen.
-We respectfully disagree with the authority’s decision and we will review our options- a Google spokesman said in a statement.
He added that some apps are not supported on the Android Auto platform "based on driver-distraction tests and regulatory and industry standards".

-The exclusion of the Enel X Italia app from Android Auto has been going on for more than two years, and if it were to continue, could permanently jeopardise Enel X Italia's chances of building a solid user base at a time of significant growth in sales of electric vehicles.-This, the body concluded, amounted to "an impoverishment of consumer choice and an obstacle to technological progress", which could influence the development of electric mobility.
As a result, the authority said it had ordered Google to make available to Enel X Italia and other app developers programming tools which are interoperable with Android Auto, while adding that it would monitor compliance of its ruling via an independent expert with whom Google would be obliged to cooperate.

A Belarusian court jailed a drummer for six years on Thursday after his band played at mass protests in the wake of disputed presidential elections last year, a rights group said.

Belarus was for months gripped by weekly demonstrations demanding the resignation of strongman Alexander Lukashenko, who claimed a landslide victory in the August vote that his opponents said was rigged.
The 66-year-old has ruled Belarus with an iron fist for over two decades and moved quickly to stamp out protests following the vote.
Alexei Sanchuk, 30, was arrested in the capital Minsk in November, along with several other members of a marching percussion band that were often seen at protests.
They were sentenced to 15 days in jail for taking part in unauthorised protests, but Sanchuk was held following the sentence and slapped with several criminal charges.
On Thursday, a court in Minsk found him guilty of organising and participating in protests and sentenced him to six years in a penal colony, the Viasna rights group said.
He was accused of blocking traffic, waving a red-and-white flag -- a symbol of the Belarus protest movement -- and encouraging protesters to clap their hands, among other acts that allegedly breached public order.
Viasna said the musician was reported to have been beaten after his arrest and was forced to appear in a video confession that was shown on state-run television. 
Sanchuk has a wife and an eight-year-old daughter. 
While the historic protests that left at least four people dead have by now subsided, journalists and activists continue receiving prison terms in the aftermath.

The presidential plane used by Romania's former communist dictator Nicolae Ceausescu is to go under the hammer later this month, the Artmark auction house announced on Wednesday.

-The Rombac Super One-Eleven plane, seen by Nicolae Ceausescu as a crowning achievement of Romanian industry, will have a starting price of 25,000 euros- Artmark said ahead of the May 27 sale.
Ceausescu used the plane between 1986 and December 1989, including on his last trip abroad to Iran.
That visit came shortly before the revolution which overthrew him and ended in his execution on Christmas Day 1989.
Since then the plane has been in a hangar belonging to the Romavia state aviation company, which went bankrupt in 2014 and whose assets are being sold.
The plane was made under licence from the British Aircraft Corporation under a deal worth 300 million pounds, signed in 1978 during Ceausescu's state visit to the UK, the first of its kind for a communist leader.
The dictator was feted with a ride in a gilded carriage to Buckingham Palace alongside Queen Elizabeth II and a state banquet held in his honour.
The first Rombac plane took to the skies in 1982, but only nine were built before Romania abandoned the project in 1990.

A Russian court on Wednesday sentenced popular opposition politician Yevgeny Roizman to nine days in jail for urging people to join demonstrations in support of jailed Kremlin critic Alexei Navalny.

The sentence follows a wave of court rulings that have sidelined or sent into exile allies of Navalny, who was jailed by authorities in February for more than two years on old embezzlement charges he says are politically motivated.
Roizman, 58, was mayor of Russia's fourth-largest city Yekaterinburg between 2013 and 2018 and frequently participates in rallies organised by the opposition, including Navalny.
Roizman said on Twitter that he was accused of organising protests on January 31 and April 21 through posts on his Twitter account that has close to 500,000 followers.
A court in Yekaterinburg found him guilty and sentenced Roizman to nine days in jail on both charges, the state-run TASS news agency reported.
The jail terms will be served simultaneously, so the politician will spend a total of nine days behind bars.
Roizman pleaded not guilty to both offences.
Earlier in March, he was fined 20,000 rubles (around $270) for taking part in rallies in January.
The winter marches were held in cities across Russia after Navalny, 44, returned to Moscow from Germany, where he was recovering from nerve agent poisoning.

Navalny was taken into custody for allegedly breaching parole terms and in February sentenced to two-and-a-half years in a penal colony.

He announced a hunger strike in late March, demanding proper medical treatment for pain in his back and numbness in his legs, sparking fresh nationwide rallies on April 21.
He ended his hunger strike after 24 days.
The rallies were met with a harsh response from authorities, with participants receiving fines and short jail terms and some facing several years in prison. 
Russia has also ramped up pressure on domestic and foreign social networks, accusing them of refusing to delete opposition content.
On Wednesday, popular encrypted messenger Telegram was slapped with a fine of five million rubles ($67,000) for not removing calls "inciting minors" to join protests, Russian news agencies reported. 
Moscow has repeatedly fined foreign internet companies, including Facebook, Google and Twitter, for failing to comply with Russian legislation.
Last month, Russia also throttled Twitter's services in the country, saying the platform did not remove illegal content on its request.

Russia jails former mayor over Navalny tweets

Senegal is due to receive 300,000 doses of the Chinese-made coronavirus vaccine Sinopharm this week, the governments of the West African country and China said. 

In a tweet on Tuesday, Senegalese President Macky Sall said that China was going to deliver 300,000 vaccine doses, as well as 308,000 syringes. 
-I appreciate this gesture of solitary from China- he said. 
The vaccines are due to reach the capital Dakar by the end of the week, according to China's embassy in Senegal. 
Beijing has donated its Sinopharm vaccine -- which its developers say is 79-percent effective -- to several poor countries as part of a global diplomatic push.
As with other African states, Senegal's infection rate is far below levels reached in the West, having recorded over 40,000 Covid-19 infections since March 2020 and 1,121 deaths.
Over 430,000 people in the nation of 16 million people have also received Covid-19 jabs, according to the latest government figures. 
Senegal received some 300,000 AstraZeneca doses this year as part of the global Covax programme aimed at boosting immunisation in poorer nations.
But the government also bought 200,000 doses of Sinopharm for its vaccination campaign.
The announcement of China's donation of a new consignment of Sinopharm doses comes after the World Health Organisation approved the vaccine for emergency use last week.&nbsp;
