A new case of public property destruction has been documented in Sarajevo's Great Park, where citizens noticed broken stone markers that are part of the park's and memorial character of this space.

Photographs posted on social media show one of the stone elements knocked to the ground and visibly damaged, which has sparked outrage among citizens.

The Great Park is one of the most recognizable green spaces in central Sarajevo, and in addition to its park function, it also holds significant historical and memorial importance. For this reason, citizens emphasize that any form of vandalism in this space is particularly concerning.

The photographs show that the stone marker has been separated from its base and ended up on the ground beside the walkway, while it remains unknown whether the damage was caused intentionally or as a result of other circumstances.

It is shameful to watch how certain individuals through their actions undermine the beauty and dignity of Sarajevo.
